30 Days of Identity: I Am God’s Masterpiece

Read this 60 Second devotion. Each day, based on our verse of the day, we will add one new label to our Christian identity. At the end of 30 Days, we will have a life affirming, identity forming declaration. This is life changing stuff! --- Day 11

The Word - "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 ESV

A Thought - I always remember the image of Gary Smalley passing a broken violin around the audience of one of his marriage conferences. People just passed it from person to person with hardly a glance and no special care for the violin. Then Gary mentioned that although broken, the violin was a Stradivarius. A collective GASP was heard and everyone's attitude changed. Although broken, they were handling a masterpiece.

Get ready to gasp. We are God's masterpieces. Try the idea on. Say, "I am God's Masterpiece." It feels a bit weird, I know, but it is true. And just as the Stradivarius was designed to create beautiful music in the hands of a master, you were made to do something wonderful and unique in the hands of the Master.

My Prayer of Declaration - Lord, because of You, I am a New Creation, I am Forgiven, I am Reconciled to God, I am Free, I am Loved, I am complete, I am a citizen of Heaven, I am God's Child, I am Strong, I am not afraid and I am God's Masterpiece. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
