30 Days of Identity: I am Becoming More Like Jesus

Read this 60 Second devotion. Each day, based on our verse of the day, we will add one new label to our Christian identity. At the end of 30 Days, we will have a life affirming, identity forming declaration. This is life changing stuff! --- Day 19 The Word - "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 ESV

A Thought - If I could just (fill in the blank with your issue), everything would be better and I wouldn't feel so bad about myself. I have good news. You don't have to make yourself better. Just hold on to Jesus. Practice being in his presence through things like prayer, fasting, reading the Bible, giving, serving, and just being still. He loves you and will never let you leave his presence unchanged.

Instead of trying to just change in order to be OK with God and yourself, try saying this instead. I am going to keep my eyes on Jesus and just be with him. He'll fix what needs fixin'. There's freedom in that thought.

My Prayer of Declaration - Lord, because of You, I am a New Creation, I am Forgiven, I am Reconciled to God, I am Free, I am Loved, I am complete, I am a citizen of Heaven, I am God's Child, I am Strong, I am not afraid, I am God's Masterpiece, His Ambassador, His Witness and He Welcomes me. I am a Servant of God (just like Jesus), I am more than a Conqueror, I am Holy and I am becoming more like Jesus every day! - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
