30 Days of Identity: I Am Forgiven

Read this 60 Second devotion. Each day, based on our verse of the day, we will add one new label to our Christian identity. At the end of 30 Days, we will have a life affirming, identity forming declaration. This is life changing stuff!

The Word - "... if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive." Colossians 3:13 ESV

A Thought - When I was four years old, I accidentally put a parked car into neutral. It was parked on a steep driveway. As it began to roll down the hill, my two year old brother ran to try to jump in. You know how little brothers hate to be left behind. The open door knocked him down and the car ran him over. He barely survived. It took about forty years for me to fully receive forgiveness and stop punishing myself for that awful mistake.

Do you carry emotional junk in your heart too? Most of us do, but we don't have to. In Christ, everything that we have done wrong, intentional or unintentional, little or massive, yesterday or long ago is forgiven. PERIOD! The hard part is accepting that forgiveness, but Jesus can help with that too.

My Prayer of Declaration - Lord, because of You, I am a New Creation, and I am Forgiven. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.

Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott

Matthew 26:28 - 1 Peter 2:24 - 1 John 1:7-9 - Ephesians 1:7; 4:31-32 - Romans 8:1 - Acts 3:19
