30 Days of Identity: I am Holy

Read this 60 Second devotion. Each day, based on our verse of the day, we will add one new label to our Christian identity. At the end of 30 Days, we will have a life affirming, identity forming declaration. This is life changing stuff! --- Day 18

The Word - ".... you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:11b ESV

A Thought - Did your parents or grandparents have "the good dishes" that only came out on holidays? Mine did. Those dishes were holy (set apart for a special purpose). What made them holy was the value that Grandma placed in them. As holy people, we are set apart for God's special purpose. Unlike the dishes though, we are not holy because of the value our Heavenly Father places in us. No, we are holy because He placed his Spirit in us, credited us with His Son's righteousness, and set us apart for His special purposes.

My Prayer of Declaration - Lord, because of You, I am a New Creation, I am Forgiven, I am Reconciled to God, I am Free, I am Loved, I am complete, I am a citizen of Heaven, I am God's Child, I am Strong, I am not afraid, I am God's Masterpiece, His Ambassador, His Witness and He Welcomes me. I am a Servant of God (just like Jesus), I am more than a Conqueror, and I am Holy! - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
