30 Days of Identity: I Am Strong!

Read this 60 Second devotion. Each day, based on our verse of the day, we will add one new label to our Christian identity. At the end of 30 Days, we will have a life affirming, identity forming declaration. This is life changing stuff! --- Day 9
The Word - "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." Ephesians 6:10 ESV
A Thought - Weak and powerless. That's how I felt many times in my childhood. I vowed to never feel that way again, so I lifted weights and became extremely strong. I learned martial arts and could fight really well. Guess what? I still felt the same on the inside; weak and powerless.
The Bible tells us to be strong "in the Lord and in his strength." I guess I had the right idea but the wrong methodology. Now, I put my trust in Jesus and trust him to give me the strength that I need in any given situation. He always does. I have the strength to overcome all of the plans of our Adversary to steal, kill and destroy my life. I have the strength to overcome my weaknesses and temptations of the flesh. I have the strength to simply be still and trust God to be God and handle his business. I no longer feel weak and powerless even when by the world's standard I am. The Lord is my strength. Is He yours?
My Prayer of Declaration - Lord, because of You, I am a New Creation, I am Forgiven, I am Reconciled to God, I am Free, I am Loved, I am complete, I am a citizen of Heaven, I am God's Child, and I am Strong. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
