38 Days of Miracles: Have Faith

This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the the 37 +1 Miracles of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible.

The Word - "23And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. 25And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” 26And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” Matthew 8: 23-27 ESV

A Thought - Jesus said to his disciples that they should come with him to the other side of Galilee. I always wondered why he was so upset with them for waking him up. One day it occurred to me that Jesus said they were GOING to the other side. If they were going to the other side, and if they trusted Jesus, they should have assumed that anything that happened along the way could not stop them.

A Prayer - Lord, When the storms of life come out of nowhere, help me to trust that you have a plan and you are in control. Give me the courage to always walk by faith, but if I get nervous and wake you up, don’t be too upset with me. I’m still growing. - In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
