38 Days of Miracles: Don't be that guy
This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the the 37 +1 Miracles of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible.
The Word - "32As they were going away, behold, a demon-oppressed man who was mute was brought to him. 33And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never was anything like this seen in Israel.” 34But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the prince of demons.” ” Matthew 9:32-34 ESV
A Thought - Don't be THAT guy. Don't be the naysayer. All of the witnesses to Jesus' miracle were amazed and basically said, "Welp, that's a new one." But the Pharisees saw the miracle and basically said, "Um, that doesn't fit into our theological paradigm and messianic expectations. That must have been. Oh, I don't know... SATAN!" Seriously? So, now Satan is casting out Satan? That doesn't even make sense. Honestly, most denials of Christ make about as much sense.
A Prayer - Lord, help me to always recognize the work of your hands and to trust in you. It is easy and natural to be doubtful, but help me to be filled with the gift of faith.- In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
