38 Days of Miracles: Great Day Fishing
This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the the 37 +1 Miracles of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible.
The Word - "And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. " Luke 5:4-6 ESV
A Thought - Sometimes Jesus tells us to do things that do not make sense. Do them. I can tell you first hand that you will not always get a full net. Sometimes our initial act of obedience will yield a net full of trash. Keep at it. The Lord will not let you down and eventually those nets will be full!
A Prayer - Lord, help me to be faithful to do what you tell me to do. When I do not understand the purpose, give me faith. When what you ask does not make sense, give me faith, and when I do not get a full net on the first try, give me an extra measure of faith!- In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
