38 Days of Miracles: The Yucky Miracle
This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the the 37 +1 Miracles of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible.
The Word - "32And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him. 33And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. 34And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly." Mark 7:32 - 35 ESV
A Thought - It is amazing that Jesus healed a deaf man with a speech impediment. We've been reading about miracles that Jesus did from a distance with no contact at all. Why in the world did he need to use spit for this one? I'm sure Jesus had a good reason but, "yuck!"
