Day 11-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - "Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another..." Colossians 3:12-13a ESV

A Thought - The Bible says that even when we were God's enemies, He died for us.** Now, that is the example of compassion that we should all be living by. The Lord never approved of our sins, but He paid for them, giving us a way to escape their eternal consequence. What if we looked at the messed up people in our world with such compassion? We wouldn't have to approve of their behavior, but we could compassionately show them the way out; the way to Life.

A Prayer - Lord, I do not want to enable those around me by seeming to approve of their sin, but I do not want to be heartless towards them either. Teach me godly compassion, Lord, and let me show it to others. Please forgive me when I fall short of Your example. Today, I choose to have a heart for people, even the ones that are challenging. - In Jesus' name, Amen.
