Day 13-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - "Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger," Ephesians 4:26 ESV

A Thought - It is true that we should be slow to anger, but we will all get angry at some point. That's OK. God gave us anger as an emotion to help us process things that upset us. Anger is meant to be a personal experience that helps me get back to a place of feeling good again. It is not an excuse for hurtful outbursts, verbal tirades, and violent behavior; sin. Now, when we do get angry, we would do well to follow the advice of my 6th grade teacher, Mr. Harris, who said, "Boy, don't act a fool!" (Imagine it being said by Mr. T)

A Prayer - Lord, thank you for giving me an emotion to bring me from hurt to whole. Help me to experience that emotion in a way that does not cause me to sin. Even in anger, may my life give glory to You.- In Jesus' name, Amen.

Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
