The Word - "bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you." Luke 6:28 ESV

A Thought - We will never know the peaceful strength that comes from praying for those who treat us terribly until we simply do it. God knows how hard it is. He knows it is a form of dying to oneself. He will meet us in those sacrificial prayers and bless us for doing things his way.

A Prayer - Lord, the way of Jesus is the way of the lamb. Help me to find the words and the strength to pray for those who would harm and revile me. Today, I choose to respond to hurtful people by praying for them, because that is what You want me to do. - In Jesus' name, Amen.
