Day 27-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." Ephesians 4:29 ESV

A Thought - "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Most of us have heard or asked that question. Corrupt talk is much more than just having a foul mouth. It is saying things that are slanderous, dishonest, hurtful, destructive and demeaning. Speak life over people. Acknowledge their positives and encourage them in the places they are weak.

A Prayer - Lord, help me to speak words that build up and bless. I choose to let nothing that is corrupt come from my mouth. Fair warning, Lord, we may need to start with my heart before my mouth comes under control. Of course, you already knew that. - In Jesus' name, Amen.
