Day 4-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 ESV

A Thought - When I first moved to the Inland Northwest, we had a windstorm. Hurricane force winds left thousands of trees down, and power outages throughout most of the region. The sub-freezing temperatures only exacerbated the challenges we faced. To my amazement, people with electricity opened up their homes to family and strangers, people with chainsaws showed up to remove trees, neighbors checked in on each other and restaurants sent food to college students that were stranded on campus. We were our best selves as we bore one another's burdens. Look around you. Where are the windstorms taking place right now? Will you choose to bear the burdens of another? Even the smallest bit of help could make all the difference.

A Prayer - Lord, show me those around me who have physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Show me how I can help them then give me the wherewithal to step up and bear that burden. Today, help me be a better human. - In Jesus' name, Amen. Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
