Day 5-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - "Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways." Proverbs 28:6 ESV

A Thought - There are more important things than money. When you're broke it doesn't feel that way. The writer of the Proverb tells us that it is better to be broke with your good character intact than to get rich but have terrible character. Character is who you are when no one is looking. It is the way you treat people who can do nothing for you. If you could choose only one, would you rather have good character or a fat bank account?

A Prayer - Lord, whether rich or poor, help me to be a person of excellent character. Guide my steps as I navigate the pitfalls and challenges of life that could compromise my integrity. I choose to be a better human. I choose to be more like you. - In Jesus' name, Amen.
