Day 9-30 Days of Being a Better Human

The Word - “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. John 15:12 ESV

A Thought - The world wants to tell us what love is and then hold us to that standard. Sometimes, the world is right, but often they simply want us to say that anything goes. Thankfully, Jesus made it very clear what love looks like. He taught us love by serving people, putting their well being above his own, forgiving those who did not deserve it, blessing those who persecuted him, and giving His life to pay for the sin of everyone else. To love like Jesus did is tough. It just might cost you everything. But that's the kind of love that leads to being a better human.

A Prayer - Lord, I am often unsure of the best way to respond to others in love. How do I lay my life down for others? How do I love those who seem so unlovable? Teach me, Lord. I want to love more. I want to love better. I want to love like You. - In Jesus' name, Amen.
