The Fellowship of Suffering: 2

This is a challenging topic, but you have just spent the last 34 days arming yourself with the truth of your identity in Christ. You are ready for this. Christians Suffer.
The Word - "Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body." Hebrews 13:3 ESV
A Thought - "The typical Christian lives in a developing country, speaks a non-European language and exists under the constant threat of persecution... for these believers, the lack of basic liberties American Christians take for granted is a datum of daily existence." These precious saints, living like countless others have lived over the last 2000 years, always ask western missionaries for the same thing, prayer. Thinking of others before ourselves makes us more like Jesus and connects us to his way of ministry. Today, let's remember the Church in Chains.
A Prayer - Lord, when life gets really hard, it is easy for me to feel like You have abandoned me or are punishing me. I know that is not true. You will never forsake me. Thank you for showing me in your Word that suffering is part of the normal Christian life. When hardship comes my way, I ask that You remind me of Your purpose in it and let me feel greater intimacy with Jesus. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
