Know the God to Whom You Pray

“If you have the wrong view of God, prayer will be an exercise in futility and result in great frustration.“

If you expect God to impose your will upon people, or defy the laws that He created to rule the universe just to get you out of a jam, prepare for disappointment. That is not how God operates. Think “Thy will be done, not my will be done.”

Think of Prayer as a conversation; talking and listening. Pray for God to bring people into alignment with His will. Pray that for yourself as well. Listen for God’s heart for a person or situation and then pray in agreement.

In time, you will see your prayers answered, experience the grace of being at peace with God, and feel the joy of walking in God’s will.
