Mark: Day 24 - Do I Give from my Lack?

This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the Gospel of Mark.

The Word - "And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”” Mark 12:41-44 ESV

A Thought - I don't have enough time/money/faith to give/serve/show up to church. That is wonderful news! You are in the perfect position to give from your lack.

A Prayer - Lord, I live in a culture that is focused on pointing out how much less, or more I have than the next guy. Help me to focus on how much I have from you and to give generously from both my lack and my abundance. - In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
