Mark: Day 6 - Clann Ìosa

This 30 Days Series will lead us to Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe by taking a look at the Gospel of Mark.

The Word - "For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”Mark 3:35 ESV

A Thought - Today we went to the Scottish Highland Games where my son competed for the first time. Between events we headed straight for Buchanan Clan Tent, because my mom's people, the McWherters, are part of that Clan. Often, there is a sense of connection with complete strangers because we are all of the same clan. When Jesus was directed by the crowds to notice his mother and siblings, He pointed to his disciples and said that they were his family. Jesus wasn't rejecting his earthly family, he was acknowledging that all of those who do the will of God are his clan; the Clan of Jesus (Clann Ìosa).

Is e Iosa an rìgh againn gu bràth (Jesus is our King Forever)

A Prayer - Lord, thank you that you consider me as close as your immediate family. I know that you loved and honored your mother. Help me to follow your example by loving and honoring mine. - In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
