Pray in Silence
Prayer can sometimes feel like a struggle as we wrestle with what we think is an immediate need and what we perceive as God’s slowness in responding. It seems that the more we wrestle, the greater our problem becomes, and the less internal strength we have to continue battling for a breakthrough.
Rather than battling, try being still. Simply surrender your will and the outcome of the situation to God. Release your illusion of control over the situation. Be still and rest in the knowledge that He who spoke and the universe leapt into existence is in control. He who knit you together in your mother’s womb knows you better than you know yourself. He who gave his only Son for you would not withhold any good thing from you.
Be still. Pray in the stillness of silence. Know the victory is assured.
