This is a challenging topic, but you have just spent the last 34 days arming yourself with the truth of your identity in Christ. You are ready for this. Christians Suffer.
The Word - "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5 ESV
A Thought - It is normal to avoid suffering. It is equally as normal to find an ability to press on amidst suffering when we find that it is not random and has a purpose. God uses our suffering to produce good character in us and to leave us with a legacy of divine hope. Armed with these truths, let us press on towards Jesus as we walk with him in the fellowship of suffering.
A Prayer - Lord, thank you that our suffering is not random or meaningless. Thank you that it is character forming and hope producing. In the days ahead, when suffering darkens the doorway of my life yet again, remind me of your goodness, your purpose and the sweet fellowship with Jesus that suffering offers me. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
