The Fellowship of Suffering: Day 4

This is a challenging topic, but you have just spent the last 34 days arming yourself with the truth of your identity in Christ. You are ready for this. Christians Suffer. The Word - "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 ESV

A Thought - When you are really struggling, when suffering is at its peak, pray for an opportunity to minister to someone else. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been in a bad situation or a season of suffering and received a phone call from someone in a worse situation. Bearing their burden for a few minutes by ministering the love of Jesus blessed them and in the process lifted me out of my pit of despair. If you find it too difficult, simply think of Jesus who, while bearing the sin of the world upon himself, was concerned for the welfare of his dear mother and with the forgiveness of those who were crucifying him.

A Prayer - Lord, I may not always feel it, but I know that there is always someone who is suffering worse than me. Whether I am in a season of overwhelming abundance and joy, or a season of suffering, use me to bear the burdens of others, even those who may have harmed me. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen. Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
