The Fellowship of Suffering: Day 5

This is a challenging topic, but you have just spent the last 34 days arming yourself with the truth of your identity in Christ. You are ready for this. Christians Suffer.
The Word - "From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus." Galatians 6:17 ESV
A Thought - Got any cool tattoos that declare to the world that you belong to Jesus? The Apostle Paul had marks too; the marks of persecution, beatings and imprisonment. He bore the marks of Jesus but they were not made with ink. It might surprise you, but if Jesus didn't make it out of this world without a few scars, we probably won't either. Following Jesus means that the world will hate us the way it hated him. The good news is that our scars will not be marks of shame rather they will be the brand that declares to the universe the we belong to Jesus and we have experienced his normal Christian life.
A Prayer - Lord, I know that the world will hate me if I follow You. I choose to follow You anyway. I know that persecution and restriction await your children in this world. I am your child nonetheless. I know that if I live for you, I will suffer with You. I choose to live for you anyway. Protect my witness, Lord. - All blessing, honor, glory, power and praise are Yours, Amen.
Touch the Hem of Jesus' Robe and transform your life, 60 seconds at a time. - Scott
