The Word - "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV

A Thought - In this world of "gotcha theology," denominational exclusivity, and politicized Christianity, it is easy to run to our respective corners and choose to ignore each other. The Apostle Paul (he's kind of a big deal) thought differently. He reminded early Christians that they needed each other: they needed to encourage each other. That truth has not changed in the 2,000 years since it was written.

A Prayer - Lord, I want to be connected in a healthy Christian community. Wherever You want me and in whatever form that community takes, I will go. Lead me to a place where I can encourage others while being encouraged. Connect me with those who are connected to You. - In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
