The Word - "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV

A Thought - Bragging about being weak seems weird, but the Apostle Paul is simply saying that he sees God the most in the areas of life where he falls short or fails. When we come to the end of ourselves, that is where we find our need for God and find satisfaction with God's generous grace. -- Remember, Grace is not merely unmerited favor. Grace is God doing in us, for us, and through us that which we could not ever do on our own.

A Prayer - Lord, I am weak in so many ways and fall short of your perfect standard all the time. I need You to be my strength. I need Your grace. Help me to always remember that You are my first resort, not my last resort. Your grace is sufficient for me. - In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
